Responsibilities:

  • Provide informational and technical assistance over the phone and via e-mail to customers concerning product purchases and product compatibility
  • Offer troubleshooting assistance and coordinate warranty and non-warranty service to customers for all proprietary products
  • Write accessory completion guides, catalog product descriptions and substitutions; proofread media and support copywriting area as technical help is requested

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to solve problems with initiative and creativity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of R/C products is not required, but must have a willingness to learn about all aspects of the R/C hobby

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and directly manage the accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and accounts payable functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for monthly and annual close of accounting records. Maintain a strong system of internal financial controls for the organization.
  • Determines current cash position on a daily basis. Project monthly and quarterly cash balances and summary.
  • Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed.
  • Acts as the primary contact for the annual independent audit and special audits and reviews. Responsible for scheduling audits and preparing related reports.
  • Coordinates timely and proper payment of accounts payable in accordance with contract terms.
  • Reviews all expense invoices as well as expense checks prepared.
  • Work closely with the CFO in the preparation of annual budgets.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CMA certificate desirable.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in either public accounting or private industry. Industry experience should be either as assistant controller in a large company or as a controller of a small to mid-size company.
  • Previous management and supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Treasury or cash flow planning.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and accurate.
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills as this person collaborates with outside vendors and a diverse group of management at all levels. Serves as a representative of Hobbico and the Accounting Department.
  • Excellent analytical skills needed to deal with problem-solving and constantly changing conditions and workloads.
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with ERP or spreadsheet software package implementation highly desirable. Working knowledge of MS Dynamics would be a plus.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative strategic market plans for Hobbico's proprietary product lines. Create marketing plans, promotions, and marketing communication strategies.
  • Create industry leading communication platforms that showcase Hobbico's brand leadership to consumers and other customers. Establish and maintain an innovative and consistent brand image for each product line throughout all marketing initiatives, including websites, other online marketing venues, press, PR and advertising.
  • Oversee the development and specification of product roadmaps. Implement tracking of product marketing lifecycles and specific product campaigns. Manage the product marketing process for all products and develop an integrated communication plan for each product.
  • Conduct market research to meet changing market conditions to develop best-in-class marketing programs. This also includes the use of marketing analytics including web analytics and ROI analysis.
  • Work closely with the product development team to develop, support and manage the integration of marketing and promotions initiatives to drive new product launch strategies. Drive the creation of promotional product launch kits.
  • Perform in-depth analysis and reporting of multi-channel marketing and promotional campaigns and programs to optimize their performance. Work to optimize programs for accelerated revenue growth, and increased profitability.
  • Coordinate and monitor marketing activities as they relate to product pricing, packaging and promotions across all distributions channels.
  • Establish and manage trade and field promotions and marketing initiatives. Develop and oversee calendar of industry and field events.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA a plus and/or 7-10 years of experience with consumer products in multi-channel marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience as a marketing leader in a consumer products based environment.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate a team and communicate with senior management. Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with product development, sales and profit centers.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skill set with ability to interpret quantitative data.
  • Previous experience with consumer-oriented e-commerce website technology and techniques.
  • Strategic, creative thinker who can balance short term operating needs with long term strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, deadline driven, dynamic atmosphere.
  • Proven ability to effectively create and manage budgets and develop forecasts.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
